Egypt 2024 Journey - Petra Extension

March 01st to March 05th, 2024 - 5 days and 4 nights

Day 1 - Friday, March 01st - Flights to Jordan / Mt. Nebo / Madaba / Drive to Petra:
Today we will take an early flight from Cairo to Amman, Jordan. Upon arriving and meeting our Jordanian Tour Guide, we will drive south along the King Way, one of the oldest trade routes in the world which runs 200 miles along Jordan's hilly backbone. Along the way, we will stop at the Byzantine Church of Mt. Nebo. The mountain of Mt. Nebo is known for where Moses saw the Promised Land before he died. Afterwards we will proceed to the city of Madaba where we will see a unique Mosaic Map of Palestine. This map is the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land and Jerusalem. After a buffet lunch, we continue driving south towards Petra. Overnight at the Petra Guest House Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included).

Day 2 - Saturday, March 02nd - Full Day in Petra:
Today we have a full day dedicated to visiting the lost Nabatean city of Petra. We will pass through the famous SIQ, an immense sandstone cavern, which opens out to reveal the famous Treasury (as seen from the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark". We will then continue on to see the many ancient Temples, Royal Tombs, Roman theatres and houses.

Day 3 - Sunday, March 03rd - Wadi Rum Full Day:
Today we visit the magical desert of Wadi Rum. We depart in the morning and travel to the home of "Lawrence of Arabia". Here we will enjoy a mint tea or cardamom coffee before touring this moon-like landscaped desert in a Bedouin driven jeep.

Day 4 - Monday, March 04th - Drive to Amman / Flights to Cairo / Farewell Dinner:
After an early morning breakfast, we drive north back to Amman to catch our flights back to Cairo. Later in the day we will meet up for a Farewell Dinner at the Le Meridian Cairo Airport Hotel. Overnight at the Le Meridian Cairo Airport Hotel (Breakfast & Dinner Included).

Day 5 - Tuesday, March 05th - Flights Home:
Today, filled with the memories and friendships during this once in a lifetime journey, we take our final flights back home (Breakfast Included).
